Stylesight has been smack dab in the middle of the Swiss Alps – checking out what’s shakin’ at one of Europe’s biggest snowboarding contests…The Burton European Open in Laax, Switzerland. Men’s and women’s slopestyle and halfpipe finals went down this past weekend.
The future of snowboarding is looking quite bright due to all of the up-and-coming young rippers who were the buzz of the contest a few days ago. The Junior Jam, which took place earlier this week, had spectators in awe of what’s to come for these nine, 10, 11 and 12-year olds. US riders took home the winning half-pipe junior titles though, with 9-year-old Chloe Kim and 12-year-old Seamus O’Connor.
Highlights from the weekend included Laari Illkka Eemeli, front side 1080 double cork…
Laax and its picturesque backdrop is one of Switerland’s gems.
