ILLUSTRATIVE + ROMANTIC
London: For his Burberry Prorsum collection, Christopher Bailey was inspired by illustrative covers of poetry and fiction works from the early 20th century. One could imagine a stroll through the British countryside from these bright graphics, featuring titles like “Winds & Showers,” “The Orchard” and “Explore and Adventure,” covering skirts and lightweight knits. Floaty dresses and cotton trenches were executed in dip-dyed color. As for the silhouette, it was was long and lean, encapsulating a safari theme with references to the forties. – Lizzy Bowring
