Brits get a glow on-the-go

This past weekend, travelers at London’s Gatwick Airport were treated to a ‘Gatwick Glow’ – a complimentary St. Tropez spray tan putting an end to passengers’ pasty predicament.

The airport had conducted a poll that revealed that Brits would rather expose their cellulite or belly bulge than their pale skin. More than half( 56%) said that a tan gives them more confidence on their first day at the beach. And men (36%) are more worried than women (29%) about looking pale on vacation. As a result, Gatwick Airport teamed up with St.Tropez to give passengers a pre-flight glow that would prevent them from overdoing it on their first day in the sun and ending up with a burn. While the initiative only lasted for a couple of days, spray tan booths are a service that airports should consider including in their terminals.
