The Accessories team highlights young designer T.Lipop as rising British talent following his showcase this month at Selfridges‘ pioneering Bright Young Things project, which runs from Jan 6th until the end of February. The project allows new designers to take over the Selfridge’s windows and design an exclusive product for Selfridges to sell both in store and online.
T.Lipop’s accessories combine outdoor function with opulent luxury. Utilitarian silhouettes are executed in white leather with gold hardware detailing. The collection plays with traditional ideas of luxury, demonstrating a more relaxed and youthful aesthetic. Signature oversized wallet cords hold bag straps together with rope and polished metal hardware.
Rucksack straps exaggerated in length are adorned with gold rivets adding a statement look to simple apparel. Messenger bags are slim and sophisticated placing emphasis on extra long detailed cross body shoulder straps. Technology cases see a carry through of Lipop’s gold riveting that envelopes tech accessories in a soft rich navy suede.
