And, in addition to your favourite retail stores, celebrity “designers” are also breaking out into this market and pushing the evolution of the plus-size fashion category. Khloé Kardashian made her mark in 2016 when she launched Good American, targeted at women of all sizes (I wrote about it here). American actresses Melissa McCarthy and Zendaya are also picking up the mantle, launching successful plus-size collections with trend-conscious denim assortments.

In this, our second edition of plus size denim brands to watch, we’ve compiled a global report highlighting brands offering premium, stylish denim assortments in the US and across the globe.

Fox Factor, Belgium- Belgium-based denim brand Fox Factor launched in January 2017 with the goal of making high-end premium, sexy denim jeans. The brand currently offers six figure-flattering high-waist cut jeans in the debut collection. The brand is set to add eight extra styles for A/W 17/18. European size 42 to 52 jeans are offered in premium denim fabric and a variety of washes.
Hayden, Los Angeles– West coast based Hayden LA launched in 2015 with the idea to cater to the curvy girl with a distinctive take on fashion who appreciates nomadic and bohemian style. Hayden aims to create wardrobe essentials that are made to last beyond the seasons.
Embody Denim, Australia. Embody Denim was launched in 2006 by the country’s first plus-size fashion editorial model, Natalie Wakeling. The label offers stylish assortments for women’s Australian sizes 14-22, with key design details including special seams, support bands and strategic pocket placement to enhance the silhouette.
