We came across this really nice looking denim brand called Old Joe on the Long-John blog. It’s from Japan and has been going since 2007, but has recently been making waves in Europe.

The brand is inspired by garments that get better the more they are worn: Tweed, leather and of course, denim! The team has created fits inspired by European and American vintage but with a contemporary twist and call their look “Modern Gentleman’s Clothing.”

Another exciting thing about this brand is their “Inspiration” page is a really nice looking blog, full of inspirational menswear imagery, including some great denim pics. Their S/S 13 lookbook on the site is super inspiring and a little reminiscent of RRL’s style. We’ve picked some of our favorite garments and looks here, but head over to their blog to see more. Also take a look at the video below, depicting their factory and manufacturing processes:

And it looks like they have a store in Tokyo too so next time you’re on a research trip, go check them out!
