Our accessories editor just returned from Milan’s Micam shoe show and immediately noticed a major trend — Native American influences. One of our favorite Japanese brands, Verginia, combined the style of authentic moccasins and traditional English comfort shoes. The result was an innovative collection that included: stitched-down, crepe soled boots with geometric motifs burnt into the leather; tonal floral printed suede sandals; and an assortment of sneakers in rich, autumn colors. Not yet distributed in the U.S., Verginia is currently available at retailers in Tokyo and London. Stay tuned for an in-depth report analyzing the trends from the Micam Shoe Event.
