For S/S 11, Sydney-based label Vanishing Elephant presents a multifaceted collection called “The Color of Love” inspired by the beginning and subsequent flourishing of a romantic affair. Created by designers Felix Chan, Huw Bennett and Arran Russel, Vanishing Elephant’s aesthetic is often influenced by time-honored garments re-worked in an edgy way. Staying true to the brand’s immaculate tailoring, classic shapes and vintage-inspired aesthetic, the collection is made up of slim chinos in linen and brushed wool, classic suits in warm midnight tones and smoky greys, paisley collars and a brocade woven dinner jacket that all flirts with a bit of polka dot, denim and even some flannel. If they’re trying to make us fall in love, they have certainly succeeded.
