Designer Jason Alfano explains that his collection, SGC N-Y-C (Social Gathering Clothing), “grew out of the notion that an assembly of friends can be more — that it can be a creative meeting of minds, and an opportunity to let artistic expression be manifested in your own life.” The result is a New York-based street wear and design company that uses the finest fabrics for decidedly luxe basics. Even featured artists like Sara Blake make contributions to the brand’s creative pursuits by collaborating on graphics for things like tees, tote bags and even skateboard decks. Recently featured on HBO’s How to Make it in America, the line celebrates the best cotton tees and knits for both men and women. Alfano also produces a successful blog called “All My Little Words.”
