Milan: Tomas Maier is a master at creating wearable opulence. The deliberately orchestrated run of show for F/W 11 allowed masculine neutrals to slowly transition into brighter hues, with corduroy pants or woolen jackets in technicolor brights enlivening serene tailored layers. Citing Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni as his inspiration, Maier aimed to create a monochromatic atmosphere with bold introductions of color — a comic book aesthetic that still brilliantly maintained Bottega’s reputation for masculine luxury.
