Bottega Veneta Gets Comfy

Botega Veneta originally made a name for themselves with luxury leather goods, and this season’s collection of man bags did not disappoint. But the real draw here was the flawless melding of comfort and taste, with luxurious fabrics in forgiving cuts. German born Creative Director Tomas Maier now calls Miami home, and its tropical charms have visibly made its way into his work with suits in shades of orange and pink and fabrics meant to withstand summer’s strongest heat. Check in Monday for menswear AND pics from my Hamptons trip!

FIRTS

It’s amazing how adding a scarf in an unexpected way can totally transform a suit.

COMFYGREYSUIT

A comfortable suit! What a brilliant concept. You could sleep in these pants!

ZIPJACKET

Just reading the description gives me joy: madras windbreaker with detachable sleeves.

MADRAS SHORTS

Remember when I extolled the virtues of prints with prints? This is how it’s done.

TANPILOT

If you fly your own private plane, this is the outfit for you.

LELLOWSUIT

A nod to the designer’s Miami home, this yellow suit is perfectly old money Florida.

WHITESUIT

Looking for an interesting alternative to a tux? Take heed, grooms-to-be. Go white!

i would absolutely wear that suit to my wedding.

    or better yet, yours.

  • The BV greys in the BV collection looks absolutely beautiful. The 1st couple of looks reminds of Kris Van Assche’s debut collection. And of course the duffles and portfolio bags look gorgeous!
