Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn, Germany, is currently displaying over 120 looks by Karl Lagerfeld, in an exhibition co-curated by Amanda Harlech. From the start of his career the designer has worked for several luxury houses including Balmain, Patou, Fendi, Chloe, Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel, breathing life into new pieces and capturing the zeitgeist of modern fashion. Modemethode, meaning ‘fashion method’ presents Lagerfeld’s all-encompassing process, from initial sketches to the completed garment. However, even accessories, the setting and music of his fashion shows, press material, advertising and window displays, are all devised by the designer himself. A must-visit exhibition to discover the renowned designer’s vision. –Emily Cater
