Blumarine’s girl for Spring was an unapologetic jetsetter, eternally ready for a glamorous jaunt to Jamaica or Barbados. Not for the faint of heart, the collection focused on three key neatly packaged themes: bright resort-friendly tie-dye, a chic Rasta interpretation and updated camoflague. The exuberant tie dyes were an impressive exercise in color play, juxtaposing bright pinks, yellows, greens and blues, but the camo motifs used an unexpected palette as well, with pops of pink giving the traditional utilitarian print a pretty, almost floral feel. From body-con knits to long flowing caftans, Blumarine is aimed at the younger end of the market, but is so much fun it offered a little something for everyone.
