THE SWEETEST THING
Bluemarine’s little sister line isn’t known for pushing the envelope, but that being said, Anna Molinari delivered a sweetly feminine collection expertly geared towards what the Blugirl customer has come to expect. Short, pretty party dresses were the bread-and-butter of the spring collection, but the demure range was peppered with a few satiny separates, swingy jackets and soft printed caftan-like maxis. The palette transitioned from a coral, mint and pink story into a vaguely nautical-inspired mix of yellow, white and blue which was used for a few polka-dotted and striped numbers. No Blugirl collection is complete without some ruffles, and Molinari’s signature design detail appeared in fluffy tiers on several lacey and floaty frocks. A sprinkling of big paillettes added a polished and glamorous feel to this otherwise uber-femme Junior-appropriate collection.
