New York: CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Billy Reid paid homage to his Southern roots by creating a welcoming party atmosphere. Reid’s tightly edited womenswear looks (just ten out of forty total) complemented his dapper Clyde Barrow-esque menswear looks. Loose, un-waisted dresses and tailored double-breasted pantsuits evoked the styles of the late 1920s in a subtle way. The designer’s gracious aesthetic infused this capsule collection with the kind of wearable, instant-old-favorite essentials that his male customers have enjoyed.—Deirdre Pérez
