Billionaires and Bohemians

img_9150asYesterday on Bleecker Street in the West Village…a perfectly chosen outfit for her surroundings. In the former home of bohemians and punks…and the current home of the very wealthy…a mixture of designer logos with a 60’s-inspired suede coat and punky slit leggings. It’s so interesting to me how our surroundings influence our fashion choices – both subconsciously and consciously. xx eddie

  • LOVE her outfit, especially those leggings!

  • It is also interesting that your wardrobe selections could reflect, not your surroundings currently, but where you wish to be.

  • oh yes, i love west village, theres so many awesome fashionable people there. this one i love those boots paired with those leggings and the fringe coat looks perfect!

  • Yes Bonnie – I strongly believe that in fact you should dress like the person you hope to be one day. If you want to be a fashion editor you should start dressing like one now. If done in the right way (low-key and with good taste), this would not look silly or pretentious. Rather, it merely sends subconscious clues to people as to who you are inside and what it is you are going for and how you would like to be perceived.

  • Neat outfit, almost wouldn’t expect it to be worn with a LV bag.

  • I love this look! So unique and playful! Beautiful photography as well. xoxo.

I’d give anything for her Gucci dress 😐

  • only thing i don’t like is the LV

  • Look at her leggings. Gorgeous! Hope to see more of this. Have a good day.=D

Sorry, pretty girl but this outfit lacks any true individuality. Yeah, its a designer attempt at rawness, totally transparent. And about that LV bag, wow so original.

  • While I take no delight in dissing her – or by extrapolation, myself – I have to say your comment is pretty accurate. Pretty girl but an off-the-rack attempt at rawness.

  • The outfit is great and the picture looks amazing!

  • Victorie

    I love her !!! <3

  • Totally, totally agree. I looked at that and thought, wow, I don’t like any of those elements for myself: that almost heavy metal image on her shirt.. a Louis Vuitton bag for goodness sake! And yet, it works.
This is the first time I’ve stumbled on your blog, and I love the way you write. Are these your photos, too? (Please excuse me, I’ve just landed on this planet).
I’m adding your blog to my ‘nice things’ list!

love everything about this picture and the outfit, the trashy i don’t care kind of look, but with touches of i am still expensive. i have to agree with Jill you don’t expect that Louis Vuitton bag yet the whole thing together works.

  • Astri Elisa

    her legging is so rockin!!!
