BIG IDEAS | Smories

Where Did the Mermaids Go, The All-Day Soda and The Smelly King is just a short list of imaginative story titles you’ll find on Smories. A delightful website where kids can upload videos of themselves narrating their very own fairytales and enjoy posts of other children’s videos as well. Husband and wife, Lisa Swerling and Ralph Lazar, came up with the idea of Smories during a long road trip to Cape Town in South Africa. When their 8 year-old daughter decided to entertain the family. In just 8 months the website has over 200 original stories read by kids, and no signs of slowing down.

Watching Smories reminded us of our forever-favorite storyteller, YouTube darling Capucine. Just in case you’ve never seen her..or just want to see her again.
