Every year, Nike partners with Oregon Health and Science University Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to create a line of limited-edition shoes with the young patients. Nike designers collaborate with OHSU Doernbecher patients, creating a custom sneaker. The kids choose their colors, materials and details, pulling inspiration from their own lives. The collection is sold online, in addition to being available at various Nike retail locations across the country. Over the last nine years, the project has raised over $4 million and all of the proceeds go directly to OHSU Doernbecher. Check out the inspiring stories behind the footwear here.
