Pre-Fall Collections are always a great preview of what we can expect to see on the Fall Runways, and based on we’ve seen the upcoming season looks promising.
Below are Stylesight’s picks of the best items from Pre-Fall 2012 Runway and Presentations.
Issey Miyake updates the classic ankle boot with novel color blocking patterns and constructions. Round single sole lasts looks fresh with nude + color combo and wooden round heels.
Modern feminism shines with classic black patent uppers and asymmetrical details. The single sole pump returns for another season with an off-set ankle strap. Heeled loafers look delicate with minute contrast bow and scalloped details. Spectator design elements and Op-art inspired uppers are standout items.
3.1 Phillip Lim
Ankle boots are always a Fall season favorite, and Lim’s take on this staple is key. Understated elegance with block heels and single sole lasts, with zipper upper close and moc stitch details. A wedge construction with the same upper creates the urban feel the designer is known for.
Luxury and opulence are center and front at Louis Vuitton. Ankle strap details are seen across all item categories, as well as last season’s single sole pointed toe constructions. Cap toes are embellished with jewels on gold metal casing. Fur covered pumps will be an editorial hit with their off-beat silhouette, all the while evoking the Vuitton glamour. –Jenn Tello
