The verdict is out! In our travels to the key intimates trade shows around the world this season, we discovered both new and established brands that impressed, inspired and intrigued us. We just compiled our favorites for Fall/Winter 2011 in a Trade Show Wrap. Here is a little taste of the brands we loved.

Dietrich designer Frederika Cook returned to the trade show scene after taking a break for a few seasons to fine-tune her sourcing, production and couture-inspired designs. The romantic delicacy and Old Hollywood glamour of her first collection returned in rosette-encrusted tulle bralettes and lacy skirted panties, while molded hourglass corsets and python-paneled briefs reflected a refined sense of construction and a hip downtown sensibility.
Known for: Ready-to-wear innerwear that mixes uptown splendor with a rock n’ roll edge.

Although her eponymous label is only in its second season, Gabriela Marrero already has an impressive resumé under her belt: graduate from Central Saint Martins, former stylist, working with Karl Lagerfeld. The maturity and experience shows in her extremely focused and refined collection. Masculine-cut robes, boxy cotton pajamas and silk shirtdresses resonate a quiet elegance with surfaces that are clean in decoration yet warm in color and texture. Made in an old-fashioned couture workshop, her homewear “expresses an art of living” – one that is effortlessly chic, timeless and simply gorgeous.
Known for: Homewear that mixes soft masculine tailoring with vintage-y fabrics, colors and prints.
