With S/S 12 now well on the way, we’re extremely pleased to announce our latest round-up of denim editorials for fall 2011.
The fall 2011 runway collections brought new silhouettes, re-proportioned classics and innovative finishes and laundries for the directional publications and stylists to work with for this season’s editorials. Key magazines like Vogue and Russh magazine delivered a mix of bohemian and folk-inspired stories, while newcomers Stonefox and Oyster presented catwalk looks in an unexpected an inspiring way. Stylists and photographers like Mario Sorrenti, Inez van Lamsweerde, Amy Troost and Melanie Ward transformed this season’s denim offerings with bold colors, indigenous prints and a myriad of eye-catching styling tricks that gave winter denim a chic “look at me” attitude.
The Men’s editorials brought together a combination of dark themes and traditional denim styling, with publications like Numéro Homme China, Metal and WAD magazine drawing influences from the old west and 80s skinhead styling to tributes to Rebel Youth author Karl Heinz Weinberger. Key designs and styling influences were brought to life through top photographers and stylists including Gavin Watson, JM Ferrater, Peter Stanglmayr and Ana de Gregorio, with varying pieces like Wrangler Bluebell, Diesel Black Gold, Levi’s and Dsquared2 showcasing a youthful point of view for the Men’s denim market.
