Over the last year, retailers like Rugby Ralph Lauren have gotten into the Made-to-Measure game by introducing a whole new generation of men to the concept of custom-made retail. This week, Bespoken, one of Stylesight’s “Best of New York” brands also started offering a personalized shopping experience for shirts.
Not only are the shirts made at the world-renowned Turnbull & Asser factory, but the interface for the personalization system itself makes the entire process an efficient and fun experience. After choosing a shirt swatch, and details like cuff and collar style, the customer also gets the option of choosing a special wash that insures a lived-in look. If that’s not enough, all of the shirts are made of Thomas Mason cloth, feature mother-of-pearl buttons and are hand-stitched by 16 skilled craftsmen. After three weeks, shirts arrive on the customer’s doorstep.
