LONDON CALLING

New York:  James, Sam and Liam Fayed, the brother-trio behind Bespoken, stuck to their London sartorial roots for a season of enthralling contrasts. The brand, owned by Turnball & Asser, showcased its posh collection against a graffiti-filled wall. Tailored jackets and vests and crisp chinos stood out, but these are not clothes for your grandfather. Button stances were high and jacket bodies cropped, while skinny pants rolled to above the ankle. A matching gingham shirt and tie felt at ease with tapered jeans and laceless brogues. If men continue to seek out modernized versions of traditional classics, Bespoken’s offbeat point of view will become increasingly relevant.
