Looking for a budget-friendly yet on-trend place to stay when visiting Bread & Butter in Berlin next week? If so, Generator Mitte might just be the perfect option. Following the success of the opening of Generator hostels in seven European capitals including Barcelona, Copenhagen and London, the Mitte location is the second Generator hostel in the German capital. Located in the hip Mitte district, this contemporary boutique hostel has the capacity of housing 552 guests with 139 en-suit rooms as well as several dormitories, a library, stylish bar, café and events space. A collaboration with local interior designer Ester Bruzkus, this creative space offers a selection of street art with a contemporary décor fusing minimalist Scandinavian influences with bold colors and eye-catching geometric silhouettes and shapes. Its super central location makes it a convenient place to stay whether you’re looking for the best independent shopping or the most-happening nightlife. -Anna Jacobsen
