This morning, we’re in Berlin and on our way to the myriad of tradeshows and fashion week showcases. Tonight, there are two awesome denim events: The G-Star F/W 13 runway show and a special Denham retrospective at the infamous 14 oz. denim store in Berlin.
This renowned artisanal British-come-Dutch brand, led by Jason Denham, has been working on a celebratory Five Year Anniversary Book (charting their inception in 2008 until the present day) to coincide with their anniversary on January 14.
The team says:
Denham is a brand that we hope is characterized by our love of products, our respect for the garment-making tradition, our passion for storytelling, and our belief in the art of presentation. We’ve attempted to share these convictions each season since our journey began and, as part of that effort, we’ve produced a lot of little books, journals, and tomes. Many of our friends throughout the industry and people who have stumbled across these publications in the past have implored us to produce something that we could make slightly more widely available. We’re a very happy five-year-old and this book is our birthday gift to ourselves, our collaborators, and all of our supporters. Enjoy.
The limited edition book is restricted to 1,000 copies worldwide and is individually numbered and hardbound with a linen-wrapped cover and special blue-stitched binding. The substantial art book measures 49 cm. x 34 cm. and weighs in at 5 kilos.
The exclusive, invite-only launch is at 14 oz., Ku’Damm, Berlin tonight. Francois Girbaud, Nigel Cabourn, Karl Heinz Muller, and Jason Denham will be signing 20 copies that will be sold for charity that night. We’re looking forward to checking out the book!
