Following the footstep of its Shanghai store just last year, the coveted 10 Corso Como has opened its second location in Beijing’s Shin Kong Place. Located on the fourth floor of the high-end shopping centre, 10 Corso Como Beijing is yet another retail concept from the Milanese brand where art, fashion, design and music are celebrated. The 11,840 sqft. space houses the Carla Sozzani Galleria, an exhibition area named after the brand’s curator that showcases renowned artists and exclusive collaborations. Alongside the opening, 10 Corso Como has unveiled Altered Images, an image series from Christopher Makos, the photographer dubbed “the most modern photographer in America” by Andy Warhol, as well as a capsule collection inspired by Makos’ work. Furthermore, 10 Corso Como continues to introduce emerging designers, showcasing an exclusive denim collection from Chinese designer Xiao Li, winner of the 2013 International Talent Support (ITS) Diesel Award. The space also boasts a bookshop, a restaurant and lounge, a café/patisserie and a beauty spa. The store interior is managed by American artist Kris Ruhs, who blends Chinese elements of red and gold with the brand’s signature nature-conscious design in the creation of a “sculpture garden.” –Maria Mao Cui
