One of the first trends we spotted at Salone del Mobile today is all about comfortable lounging. Sofas and armchairs take their cue from soft bedding, with large cushions the size of pillows acting as back or arm rests, and extra light velvets and leathers creasing like bed sheets. Moroso launched a sofa that looks like a folded mattress, while Diesel Living’s XXL sofa is covered in cosy linen cushions.

Structures can be moved and folded at will to adapt to the wanted position, for a completely personal relaxing experience.

Along with rounded silhouettes and padded surfaces, this trend follows the more general idea of interiors becoming softer and softer, which WGSN Lifestyle & Interiors subscribers can read more about here.
