Created in collaboration with luxury skincare brand Natura Bissé and the leading Spanish company behind the research and development of functional beverages AMC INNOVA, Beauty & Go is a new brand of beauty drinks designed to promote beauty from within.
We have recently seen the rise in new beauty drinks launched on the market but what makes Beauty & Go unique is that the drinks contain macro-antioxidants extracted from the skin of fruits.
“Beauty drinks are hot right now. The idea was not to create just a new beauty drink because there are many of them already on the market but to make something special that will make a difference to the skin,”Patricia Fisas, Nature Bisse director of marketing & product development, told WGSN. “The Spanish National Research Council discovered a key ingredient called macro-antioxidants which are found in the peel of fruits that contain higher, more anti-oxidant and more power than regular anti-oxidants as we know. This active ingredient is the main feature in the drinks but we completed it with other extracts too to give it more beauty benefits.”
The patented macro-antioxidants – which have more than 15 years of scientific research behind it – are said to contain powerful anti-oxidant macromolecules which claims to minimize the damaging effects caused by free radical which causes skin to age. It took one and a half years to develop and create the drinks to get the formula right.
Launching next month and sold exclusively in Selfridges in the UK, the drinks come in four different variations which include Anti-Ageing, Vitality, Radiance and Detox.
The 250ml bottles are brightly colour coded to reflect the drink’s purpose, for instance green for detox and yellow for vitality. The Anti-Ageing drink contains pomegranate, raspberry and hibiscus, while the Detox version is made with cucumber, spirulina algae, broccoli, dandelion, spinach, mint and artichoke to help detoxify the skin. Radiance features extracts of red grape, rosehip, aloe vera and green tea which claims to hydrate and illuminate the skin, and Vitality comes with pineapple, ginkgo biloba and guarana. Other specific extracts such as vitmains and minerals have been added to the drinks to further enhance beauty benefits.
Containing no sugars, each drink is only 35 kcals (per 100ml) and is naturally sweetened with extracts from the stevia plant. The drinks are also gluten-free and contain no artificial colours or preservatives.
Beauty & Go drinks are priced at £2.99 and will be available at Selfridges in the UK from March 2015.
