LONDON…Bruno Basso and Christopher Brooke always give their audience something to marvel at, combining prints for a dizzying, layered effect. Last season their inspiration applied to artful, organic shapes with plenty of movement and embellishment. For S/S 09 the designers paired it down a bit, choosing Japan as their reference point, channeling the culture’s rich printmaking history as well as its sleek, cinched silhouettes. Look to these exuberant, energetic prints for graphic inspiration and consider the narrow line and tailored shoulder this season.
