New York: “An experiment in techno couture” was the momentum behind Alexander Wang’s Balenciaga pre-fall collection. Wang combined his street-driven aesthetic with classic Cristóbal Balenciaga codes cut with references to snowboarding via performance fabrics and hardware. He also used simple squares, rectangles, circles, and triangles to create intricate architectural shapes. – Lizzy Bowring
