“Imagine girls arising from the Patagonia glaciers to the Atacomo desert. We’re doing pale skin in the center of the face. It looks effortless but there’s 11 steps. It’s all about well-prepared skin using Beauty Balm, Prep + Prime Highlighter, and technological products. I’m softly applying Pinch o Peach blush on the center of the cheekbones, peach eyeshadow on the outer corner of the eyes with a 224 brush just to get a hint of shadow, not to look too made up. I’m using fingertips to apply Brown Zoom Lash mascara because I want to see the lashes, not the mascara, and its same with the lips. I’m also applying the lip color with fingers because I don’t want to see any hard lines, just a soft finish. I mixed Myth and Morange lipstick to create a coral color, but when you apply it with your fingertips you get a diffused salmon color. I wanted this blurred color. Metal X eyeshadow is on the cheekbones for a highlight and on top of the lips. Overall, it looks effortless but its not effortless. I feel this is a trend nowadays. It’s all about soft skin. It’s not about doing everything at once. There’s an emphasis on one aspect of the makeup.” – Fabiana Gomes

Brows were bleached to add to this otherwordly effect, a bit like Rooney Mara’s beauty look in The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo.

Products (all MAC): Face & Body, Mineralize Skin Finish Natural, Prep + Primte Highlither, Pinch o Peach blush, Mix of Myth and Morange lipstick, Sombra Kid, Zoom Lash Lofty brown, Metal X Cream Shadow in fusion gold, Shell Cream base

“We were inspired by a casual, practical women. The more casual, the prettier. The whole carnaval hair is out. It’s kind of like Twiggy hair with a lot of shine. Shine reminds me of power, a women that takes care of her hair but is not a victim of it. An everyday woman with hair who can go to the pool or a party. She’s more concerned about her clothes and makeup than her hair. Her hair is a casual accessory.”- Wanderley Nunes

All the models had their hair dyed black with Wella Koleston color foam. For some, a mascara wand with concealer was applied to the side part to make the part look more sharp.
