“We’re doing very beautiful makeup as a base, a lot of terracottas, a lot of caramels and glossiness in the cheek and skin. Think of it like a road trip through the California desert. The eyes is where it’s at. I’m calling it a pastel pop of color. It’s an opaque, minty, creamy smudge stick and it’s just drawn right through the center of the eye. It fits so well because it’s so different from that caramel, peachy, terracotta hue. Then a little black lash line, lots of mascara, and a brushed up brow. It’s very fresh, very pretty. For the lip, we are using Stila Convertible Color, in Camellia. It’s peachy but nude with a hint of cinnamon, almost like their natural lip coming through. It’s matte, so it’s almost like a lipstick stain. But that pop of bright, bold pastel is where it’s all at.” – Sarah Lucero

“We’re adding a lot of lift and texture to the hair. For the texture we’re using a one-inch and one quarter size curling iron. We’re not wrapping the hair all the way down, just using random sections through the mixed length of the hair. Then we’re going to flatiron and get the polished version of the texture. It’s kind of a glamorous ‘80s style.” – Jeanie Syfu

“The nail is very classic, rounded, keeping it short. We’re using Mint Candy Apple, which is this really awesome sea foam green, really retro spring/summer color. It complements her collection really well because she has a lot of this seafoam color. There are some neutral colors, so it pops against that. Stila is doing the makeup, and they have a pretty complementary seafoam eyeshadow that they’re using. We’re seeing that a lot, where the makeup and the lipstick or the eye and the nail complement each other, as opposed to disappearing. Nails are so much more fashionable than they used to be.” – William Wesley
