Hair: Guido for Redken

“I was inspired by the models in the clothes, because they look so cool and fun. The clothes look sort of cheap, second hand. There’s so much brightness that you could go in so many different directions. Look at the headband, it’s cool right? So it’s really basic on the face, a little bit of power, nothing like bronzer. I wanted the eyes to look scrubby but sexy to go along with the headband. I’m using Shiseido Shimmer Cream shadow in Black and Sable mixed together and putting some grease on top of it. The easiest thing to use would be a black pencil, super simple. No mascara. There’s a lip color, but in a way so that you don’t even see the color. Its just a little bit of something with a home-made feeling. It’s easy right?” – Dick Page

“The hair is super simple, super down played. The headband was inspired by London. In the mid 80s there was this cross cultural thing going on, where girls would get ethnic fabrics and tie African and Indian fabric in their hair. It’s like when you have a piece of fabric at home and you tie it in your hair, that kind of freedom. Different combinations of neon, it’s a nice clash, it’s pretty. Then key when using hair accessories is to downplay everything else. The hair texture roughens the prettiness of the style, so you can let the hair can be a much more relaxed. To pull the hair back, I just do it until it looks right. They are all different. All hair accessories are from Marc.” – Guido

“Marc by Marc is always a very strong look. You don’t want clash with the fabric. You want to complement it because nail polish is an accessory, like jewelry. So we custom blended Zoya’s Farrah and Tasha colors. You can see the girl walking down the runway and you know that she had her nails done.

The Marc by Marc girl doesn’t get dressed randomly. She puts together a look and she has her own sense of style. She is not going to walk out there without her nails or toes done or their hair combed. So even if the nails are pale look, it’s still a look. Whether the makeup is simple or the hair is simple, its still most certainly thought out.” – Elisa Ferri
