Backstage Beauty I Yohji Yamamoto

Colorist Berry Bachen from MAINENTRANCE Artists provides us with a glimpse backstage at Yohji Yamamoto.

Eyecatching, uniform black, glossy bobs were inspired by Rei Kawakubo. Diverging from Eugene Souleiman’s hair reference, makeup artist Pat McGrath looked to seventies glamour and black and white photography for the makeup. Smoky, taupe eyes and glossy, natural lips turned model’s faces “monochromatic”. Blue press on nails, worn over leather gloves added an interesting twist.
