Makeup: Sil Bruinsma for MAC
Hair: Jimmy Paul for Bumble & Bumble

Makeup

“Thom is always quite specific about the kind of girl he envisions. Other seasons it has been a dark, sort of ghostly girl, but this season we’re going in a different direction. It’s still a bit wicked but we’re doing a much more delicate look with white, ivory powdered down skin with Studio Fluid and Porcelain Powder. We’re using just a little cloud of rouge on the apple of the cheeks. The focus point is definitely the lips, it’s this gorgeous, velvety, deep red done in a petal shape. We used Ruby Woo and Basic Red Pigment on top to get that velvety look. Basically it looks like a rose bud, which goes really well with the roses in the hair. I love the overall look, it’s this innocent but wicked girl and it goes really well with the clothes.” – Sil Bruinsma

Hair

“Thom said that he wanted the hair to be like a bird’s nest and up out of their face. We’re using a lot of Thickening Hairspray and drying it in very rough to get an unfinished texture. Then we’re teasing the hair up and doing these two French twists in the back. We’re putting crowns of thorns on the head and then we’re also adding roses and finishing with Bumble and Bumble Does It Everything Hairspray.” – Jimmy Paul for Bumble and Bumble

Nails

“We’re doing a fire engine red, Keep Up the Flame, nail with a pointy shape so it’s really going to pop against the clothes. He really wanted something that was going to stand out so we’re adding length and it’s just a really beautiful, classic red.” – Julie Kendallac for Maybelline Color Show
