“We’re doing really matte, even skin to create a canvas for the eyes, which are little pieces of artwork. We’re using warm and cool tones in chocolate brown and slate grey, I always love mixing warm and cool. We used the NYX Roll On Eye Shimmer to make the eyes look like jewels. We want the eyes to be the focus; the shape is kind of a free form that makes her eyes look wide open to the environment around her. Hernan and I talked about the idea of the brotherhood of man, that we’re all together but different, and that inspired the look.” – Tina Turnbow for NYX
“Designers always want to see the clothes, so we wanted to do something that was very architectural and detailed but super clean. It’s all about creating a silhouette and different textures, so the bottom part is finished like glass and the top part is like suede. I’ve constructed two bizarre ponytails that come together to look like one, but one is wet and the other is dry. We twist the ponytail and secure it to the base of the head by sewing it with elastic cord, which adds a nice little detail. On the top we’re using hairspray, on the bottom we’re using gel, and then on the ponytail we’re using a spray wax that gives us a tackiness without looking dry.” – Paul Merritt for Unite
“The color we’re using is Dahlia from Zoya’s Pixie Dust Collection, it’s a black with glitter in it that dries matte. It fits really well with the dark browns, grays and blacks in the collection. With this formula you can’t use a base coat or a topcoat because it won’t dry fast enough.” – Sunshine Outing for Zoya
