Back to Fall Gear

As Labor Day approaches – and with it the last two Summer Fridays for many across the US – our minds are beginning to shift towards picking up our fall essentials. The key to most outdoor workouts is layering and transitional pieces, especially in months that could bring unexpected heat spikes (hello NYC!). That said, we’ve decided to round up some of our favorite transitional pieces launching this year to get us through it all together.

Nike Pro Knit Elite Collection

“We were inspired by what we saw in footwear with Nike Flyknit, which created a virtually seamless upper,” says Nike Women’s Training Product Craft Director Jamie Lee. “Our approach was to create a seamless garment designed to amplify the body’s natural ability – something that moves with the body and breathes extremely well. In essence, something you never know is there.”

One of the most exciting collections to launch is the new Nike Pro Elite Knit Collection. Utilizing engineered knits to create seamless, lightweight, breathable garments, Nike is changing the game of breathability and support. Only the absolute necessary design elements remain on these minimal, and incredibly stunning pieces. The perfect collection for layering into fall, or wearing solo on those hot late-summer evening runs as zonal venting allows breathability to match the female body map when releasing heat.

 Brooks – Pure Project

Brooks continues the legacy of its Pure Project line (did we mention that we just saw the newest models while we were at Outdoor Retailer a few weeks ago?) Ready to go now however, is the Brooks PureDrift. Lightweight, but maintaining stability and protection from the elements, the PureDrift has a two-part split sole that allows toes to move in a natural way. Perfect for those road to trail adventures come fall.
