Frankfurt’s B74 Selected Goods is a true manifestation of a men’s vintage showroom, representing genuine goods from current and old times.
B74 Selected Goods is the brainchild of Frankfurt retail legend, Kami Hashemi. Perhaps better known for launching Europe’s first ever Red Wing Shoes in 1998, Hashemi expanded his local empire with B74 in 2009. Sharing the same philosophy as the Red Wing concept, B74 presents a portfolio of menswear that values high-quality craftsmanship, history, and functional style. Stocking a selection of internationally renowned and atelier denim labels alike, the brand list spans from Levi’s Vintage Clothing, Edwin, and Nudie Jeans to more bespoke brands like Atelier LaDurance, Redux, and Studio D’Artisan.
The name B74 references the area code (Berliner Strasse 74) of the paint shop that was previously housed at the location. Much of the store’s interior stays true to the aesthetic of the former shop. The sliding loading dock entrance, hanging steel lamps, and ventilation units running throughout the 2,152 sq. ft. space compliment the industrial aesthetic even further. The store’s interior is entirely based on Hashemi’s passion for vintage motorcycles and classic cars. With a 1958 Porsche, custom motorbike, American memorabilia, and impressive selection of sewing machines in stock, B74 makes any vintage connoisseur’s dream. The most impressive feature of the store has to be the 32 ft. sales counter constructed from original 1950s gym benches. The varnished wood facade serves as an ideal home for the store’s denim wall.
