Balenciaga has released a new scent titled B.Balenciaga. It is creative director Alexander Wang’s first fragrance for the French fashion house, since joining the brand in 2012.
Created in collaboration with perfumer Domitille Bertier, the green woody fragrance features top notes of green edamame and lily of the valley bells which deliver a fresh kick as the perfume is sprayed onto the skin. Notes of iris root and cedarwood in the heart softens the scent for a light powdery smell, while the base features ambrette seeds and cashmeran.
The modern and architectural bottle shape pays homage to the brand’s heritage. The frosted glass comes with a crackle texture which is inspired by the marble tiling in the original 10 Avenue George V Paris salon, while the arch of the cap reflects the ‘arch’ shapes seen in the brand’s fashion and accessories. The six-sided bottle shape also includes a smooth white plaque showcasing the name of the perfume.
