65 years ago today, the world was thrust into the Atomic Age by the successful detonation of an atomic bomb during the Manhattan Project in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The ensuing years of fashion included some fairly literal homages to the A-bomb inspired by the nuclear technology that was promised to revolutionize everyday life.
