When we rolled into Aspen earlier this week it seemed like something out of a snowsports fairytale. Beautiful conditions, a bevy of mountians to play on, awe-inspiring terrain and of course the kick-off of the 2nd annual Aspen Fashion Week.
Aspen is not your typical sleepy mountain town, as it boasts high-end designer boutiques (including the only brick and mortar Moncler store in the US) as well as world class restaurants and lodges with the most affluent après ski scene in the country.
The week has been jammed pack with events, as style mavens from every corner of Pitkin county (the fourth highest per-capita income of any county in the US) have showed up to rub elbows with other snowbunny socialites.
The main stage is strategically placed in the center of town at the base of Aspen Mountain, or as the locals call it “Ajax”. This not only ensures optimal views of the mountains and the runway, it also gives regular folk (non-VIPS) the chance to watch the shows. Check out the ski/snowboard valet below… pretty fancypants.
Classic outerwear and ski brands like Obermeyer, Marmot, Kjus and Parajumpers have shown their F10 collections and one thing is for sure… the bottles of bubbly have been plentiful. We will continue our coverage till the end of the week as we work on our snow-tan and French accent.

Our favorite spectator, she embodies the true classic ski spirit.
Some amazing locals that made our day… can’t really get cooler than this guy.
We hope we are still rocking a sick style like these two when we are pushing 70… best friends for 30 years, bought both of the coats they are wearing in Aspen in the 80s.
