London: “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it” is a philosophy to which designer Ashish Gupta seems to subscribe with his consistent approach to clothes. Always graphic and always sequined are givens for the London-based designer, and this season he added a large dose of Pop-art florals to the equation. Peonies, roses and Van Gough-esque sunflowers took center stage, made all the more bold with mixed-in stripes, geometric prints and animal motifs. The silhouettes themselves were relatively basic, with slouchy crew-neck tees, roomy shorts and sleeveless dresses, but the multi-pattern mash-up and overall glittery effect of everything packed a punch of playful femininity that his fans have come to expect. —Shannon Davenport
