If you find yourself in the City of Angels longing for the edgy fashion and art scenes of the Big Apple (and the parties that go hand in hand with them), be sure to RSVP to the Arts & Leisure pop-up store opening event happening this Friday, August 12th at Space 15 Twenty.
Hosted by Lyz from Obesity & Speed and featuring readings from acclaimed astrologer Susan Miller as well as music from Greg of the Misshapes, help Arts & Leisure celebrate the mind-bending roster of New York-based designers and artists they’ve managed to assemble for this month-long pop-up shop. Seriously, this list is totally and completely out of control:
Clothes, shoes and accessories from Rogan, Pamela Love, Proenza Schouler, Three as Four, United Bamboo, Vena Cava, Cynthia Rowley, Charlotte Ronson, Madison Harding and Suno! Works by Ryan McGinley, Harmony Korine, Kim Gordon and Terry Richardson! ALL FOR SALE IN ONE PLACE! It’s almost too much to handle.
If you get overwhelmed, take a seat in the reading area and peruse their stunning selection of magazines and books, including a ‘zine from Vena Cava called (duh) Zina Cava similar to the ones handed out as show notes to guests during Fashion Week. Arts & Leisure is curated by Erin Krause, director of Donald Baechler Studio in NYC and Chrissie Miller, founder of the sportswear company Sophomore, which is also available.
