Design platform The Poundshop will move into its 6th and 7th editions with a summer tour around London.
Presenting a “best of” selection of classic products, the portable shop – designed by Studio Good One – will also introduce a new range of quirky, fun and practical designs at London Design Festival this September, such as rubber bands by A Practice for Everyday Life, rosettes by Cat Johnston and the Blowball game by Durrell Bishop. Other stops on the itinerary include London Festival of Architecture in June and the Secret Garden Party festival in Cambridgeshire in July.
Founded by friends George Wu, Sarah Gottlieb and Sara Melin in 2010, the premise of The Poundshop was to make product design accessible to all by selling goods at the affordable prices of £1, £5 or £10. The shop has become both an online and offline platform for young and established designers to sell their wares to the general public.
