Milan Design Week 2018: Tech brands go soft
Apr 20, 2018 | By Sarah Housley
Specialising in creating unique three dimensional design spaces, multi-disciplinary designer Studio Toogood has created SuperNatural, a standout pop-up experience that combines interior styling and an interactive natural food experience for the London Design Festival.
Dedicated to “foraging, collecting and observing in the English countryside” the space features a mushroom installation curated by Hampshire expert Brigitte Tee, along with a room dedicated to an olfactory ‘woodland’ experience designed by Francis Kurkdjan, one of the world’s leading perfumers. There’s even a cafe, set up by leading London cheese shop La Fromagerie and experimental food and design group Arabeschi di Latte offering a menu inspired by both the seasonal and local.
The pop-up also marks the launch of Studio Toogood’s first furniture collection, Assemblage 1, which seeks to emphasize old time English craftsmanship through the use of three recurring elements: wood, brass and stone.
Super Natural continues at The Garage, North Terrace, SW3 2BA until September 28 2010.
