With the eyes of the world focused on the innovative technology and cutting edge design emerging from Japan, Southern California is tapping into that energy by hosting a 4-day festival in one of the most sought-after districts in downtown Los Angeles, Little Tokyo.
This neighborhood is quickly becoming a mecca for creative and business minds alike, with the Geffen Contemporary exhibition space at MOCA being a main attraction, as well as the Japanese American National Museum.
The resources and culture surrounding this location are fuel for a mix of local and international designers, artists, architects, and filmmakers to explore the idea of a ‘New Urban Lifestyle’ and design a more sustainable and creative urban environment for Los Angeles and beyond.
Bringing together everyone from design professionals to the nonprofit community, film geeks to hipsters, Little Tokyo Design Week: Future City will start a conversation and inspire a crowd of over 75,000 to think outside the city blocks and create a more unique living experience for us all.
The exciting schedule of events will engage attendees with outdoor film screenings, fashion shows, and product demonstrations.
Join the conversation from July 14- July 17, and check the schedule of events here. – Courtney Schultz
