Emerging Talent: Graduate Fashion Week

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year Graduate Fashion Week is already in full swing, showcasing Britain’s future fashion stars, at Earls Court in London.

With up to 50 art and design universities exhibiting this prestigious event is celebrated the world over and is the chance to see first-hand the best British and international graduating talent in design, journalism and marketing.

Comprising a static exhibition and catwalk space, the renowned Gala show and Awards presentation will also take place on the finale night, with a prize of £20,000 given to the Gold Award winner.  This annual spectacular has already stratospherically propelled the fashion careers of designers Stella McCartney, Hussein Chalayan and Erdem Moralioglu to name but a few.

A host of mini-events and career workshops are also on schedule including the talks from the All Walks forum, an initiative set up by Caryn Franklin to celebrate and educate on diversity within the fashion industry, and Arts Thread the creative graduate platform that aims to bridge the gap between education and the creative industry.

Stylesight will be reporting from inside the event as part of our ‘Ones to Watch’ graduation round-up, tickets and daily coverage can also be found at the Graduate Fashion Week website.

Graduate Fashion Week is running from the 5th to the 8th June at Earls Court, London.
