Art & Design: Electro Late night at Museum of London

Pushing the boundaries of how we interact with gallery and museum spaces, the Electro Late night at the Museum of London takes place on Friday March 11th and is part of the Plug In festival in collaboration with Illumini, a not-for-profit organisation providing free arts events for young people.

In tune with the current upsurge of 90s inspired fashion and music, the lower galleries of the museum will be turned into an electro soundscape with live DJs and retro toys including dancing robots, and LED dancers. Visitors can have a go at creating virtual graffiti or rummaging in the museum’s dress up box, the perfect way of exploring London’s heritage by dressing up as a teddy boy or punk rocker.

The night also ties in with a growing trend for museums and art institutions to host “after-hours” events.
