Swedish retailers COS, purveyors of minimalist high street fashion, have commissioned a short film by French director Simon Elephant in celebration of the Frame section of Frieze Art Fair – the international fair curated by the publishers of Frieze magazine which commences this Thursday.
The trailer can be seen over on the Dazed Digital site and features a dreamlike sequence; a model running through a series of banners in reverse, dressed in a simple t-shirt with ‘COS supports Frame at Frieze Art Fair‘ on it, set to a piano led soundtrack and color palette of gray, black and white – best emulating the brands understated yet design led aesthetic.
Now in its 3rd year at the renowned art fair, Frame provides a platform for younger galleries and emerging artists to present solo and group exhibitions if they have been in practice for less than six years – thus allowing for fresher or undiscovered art talent to exhibit works to a global audience.
COS are supporting Frame at Frieze for the second year running, a natural partnership for a brand that continually reference and support contemporary art and design, especially seen throughout their seasonal magazine which can be picked up in most stores.
Stylesight will be at Regents Park this Thursday, scoping out the most exciting contemporary art, sculpture and film from around the world – don’t miss our up and coming report on this major art exhibition.
Screenings of the film will be shown at most COS stores throughout the duration of Frieze from October 13th – 16th, 2011. – Samantha Fox
