Fact: December is the time to go to Miami, you will have seen your social media feeds packed at the weekend with highlights from Art Basel 2016, the annual art event was spread over a plethora of galleries (we made it to 10 art fairs in that short time we were there). And in addition to the art fairs that dominate the beach side city, plus the opportunity to discover Insta-worthy art from Lucy Sparrow’s creative lifelike deli created in her signature style (check it out via our art Instagram takeover below)
to Ugo Rondinone’s #MagicMountain sculptures, there were also the consumers who came to take it all in and discover the breakout art stars. And it’s Miami so those visitors came dressed accordingly for the summer temps, the street style was packed with bold, bright colours, and fun accessories, from embroidered straw beach bags to gold Nike sneakers. There was also a nod to the catwalk with Gucci embroidered denim jackets, slogan tees and denim in unconventional silhouettes. This was the place to see and be seen.
